I would want to work at a place that is humming creatively. It is what makes me want to get up in the morning. I would want to work where the project is part of my overall UN Sustainability goals, so I know that when the going is tough, I still want to keep going. You need good managers and decent pay.
There is another twist to it - employers hiring at B level pay and expecting A level work. That is the equivalent of the tipping your waiter conversation that divides across the Atlantic. Do you pay someone what they are worth? or do you pay them less and expect them to pick up the slack. I see this as being a prime area for those who choose to quiet quit
